UDS Bristol Urodynamics Course KL 2023

MKS Medic Sdn Bhd recently organised the Kuala Lumpur Bristol Certificate in Urodynamics course at Novotel KL City Centre on the 12th & 13th August. 

We had an amazing turnout for this year’s course as more than 70 participants from both local and international healthcare institutions attended the Bristol Certificate in Urodynamics Course. The main objectives were:

• Appreciation of the philosophy behind urodynamic studies (UDS) as part of patient investigation.
• Knowledge of the basic physical principles behind the measurement of flow & pressure.

• Knowledge of the role of UDS in investigating children, women, men & neurological patients.

• Ability to recognise artefacts seen during UDS, & the knowledge of how to correct them.

• Ability to interpret urodynamic traces.

• Knowledge of the techniques of basic & specialist urodynamics, including urethral function & video-UDS.

We would also like to thank our speakers Hashim Hashim, Consultant Urological Surgeon, Honorary Professor of Urology & Director of the Urodynamics Unit, Bristol Urological Institute, Siti Nur Masyithah Ma’arof, Consultant Urological Surgeon, Ara Damansara Medical Centre, Selangor, Malaysia & Laura Thomas, Clinical Scientist, Manager of Urodynamics Unit, Bristol Urological Institute.

Its through programs such as these that we keep healthcare practitioners informed on the latest healthcare technologies and the various diagnostic solutions we have to offer. We recently assisted Laborie and the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology & Hepatology to conduct a hands-training at University Malaya Medical Center, Kuala Lumpur. Read more about it here.
